Ed and Julee Williams

Meet Ed and Julee Williams! Ed and Julee have been Shannon’s personal training clients since February and are are the kindest, most hardworking people you’ll ever meet. They never fail to put a smile on your face and make you feel like one of their own. They have made leaps and bounds from the start of their fitness journeys, and are always looking to get better.

We love the energy they bring to the gym and the fact that they make working out an activity to do together after their son, Josh Williams, gave them a Fit Crew gift card for Christmas in 2020.

Tell us about yourselves

We’re born and raised in Manatee County and will have been married for 44 years in September. We have three grown children and four grandchildren. Ed is now retired but used to be a probation officer and Julee has been a preschool director for almost 40 years. Ed played football and did track/cross country in high school, intramural sports in college at FSU. In their later life, they have gotten very involved in their church community.

How did you get started at Fit Crew?

Josh Williams, our son, gave us a gift card for free sessions for Christmas 2020, that is how our journey began.

What has been your proudest athletic moment?

Ed: Set a Manatee County High School Cross Country record in 1970
Julee: Joining Fit Crew :)

What’s your favorite exercises? Least favorite?

Julee: I like the leg press but strongly dislike the crossover symmetry bands.

Ed: I like cable curls and dislike TRX skullcrushers.

What do you think makes Fit Crew different from other gyms that you have tried in the past

This is our first experience at a gym, but we love the inclusivity and how welcoming everyone has been.

What do you like to do when you’re not training at Fit Crew?

We enjoy kayaking, going on bike rides, walking the bridge together, going to state and national parks, and spending time with our grandkids.
