January Athlete of the Month

Juliana Restrepo

Meet January’s Athlete of the Month, Juliana

Adopting a new lifestyle is difficult, especially when your background isn’t grounded in fitness. Juliana is a testament to the process: when you work hard, believe in the team around you, and are patient, you can achieve things that you never dreamed possible. Currently, Juliana does personal training sessions with Andrew. When asked about her key traits, Andrew said “she has an incredible work ethic. She’s the type that never gives up or complains, and is very optimistic”. In her short time with us, Juliana has accomplished a 24% change with no slowing down in sight. We’re so proud of you and can’t wait to see what else you achieve. Congrats, Juliana!

Tell us about yourself.

My name is Juliana Restrepo and I’m from Medellin, Colombia. I have two kids, a boy who is 19 years old and a girl who is 17. I moved to the States five years ago with my daughter, who is a tennis player. I’m an architect and have no athletic background, but I love watching tennis.

How did you get started at Fit Crew?

My daughter’s tennis coach and a tennis pro athlete that stayed at my house recommended Fit Crew to me. At the time I wasn’t feeling good, but since I started working out with Andrew I am feeling much better.

What has been your proudest athletic moment?

Being able to come to the gym every day excited and happy to workout!! It’s the first time in my life that I’ve done this consistently.

What is your favorite and least favorite movement/lift/drill?

I like rowing and I’m proud of myself to be able to do a deadlift, never thought I could do it. My least favorite exercise is pull-ups, but I’m getting better!

What do you think makes Fit Crew different from other gyms that you’ve tried in the past?

Fit Crew has an amazing energy!!! Everyone is happy there and it makes all the difference.

What do you like to do when you’re not training at Fit Crew?

I love to paint whenever I have the time and I always travel with my daughter to her tennis tournaments.

Tell us a fun fact that we might not already know about you.

I’m creative – an architect, who loves painting, reading books, dancing. I love just being happy!
