One of our favorite thing about the Fit Crew community is that when you walk through the doors of the gym, you’re surrounded with like-minded individuals who are both dedicated to their goals and are a joy to be around.

Nicole is no exception. When asked about Nicole, Coach Shannon said “She is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met and always puts a smile on your face. She loves working out, whether she’s training with her fiancé, friends, or by herself, and is always pushing herself to learn new skills”.

Tell us about yourself

I was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida. I have two brothers (one older, one younger) and a younger sister. In March I’ll be getting married to my favorite person: Wally! I am a teacher at Palmetto Elementary School. I previously taught kindergarten for two years and am going on my second year teaching first grade. Growing up I never played sports, I have never been very coordinated. I am very clumsy but do enjoy being active!

How did you get started at Fit Crew?

I was looking for something new and challenging, I tried Fit Crew and fell in love with all it had to offer.

What has been your proudest athletic moment?

There isn’t one specific moment that comes to mind, however, being able to finally do a pull up was something that made me proud. I was also proud of myself when I completed the Murph this past year, and I’m looking forward to doing it again and beating my time this upcoming year!

What’s your favorite exercises? Least favorite?

Favorite movement: DB walking lunges and deadlifts
Least favorite movement: Wall balls and thrusters

What do you think makes Fit Crew different from other gyms that you have tried in the past

Fit Crew is inviting, fun, and a place that feels like home. The trainers are intentional and encouraging. They take the time to get to know you and push you to your highest potential.

What do you like to do when you’re not training at Fit Crew?

When I’m not at Fit Crew I love riding bikes to the island, taking an occasional nap, and hanging out with friends.

Tell us a fun fact that we might not already know about you

When I graduated high school, I graduated with 13 years of perfect attendance. I never missed a day of school from Kindergarten - 12th grade!
